Special Education Disability |
There are three criteria which determine if a student exhibits a
special education disability outlined in Vermont Department of
Education Special Education Regulations.
· The child exhibits one or more of the disabilities outlined in the Vermont regulations
· The disability has an adverse effect on the child’s educational performance. The adverse effect is also be a result of the disability, and the child is functioning significantly below age and grade norms in one or more of the basic skills.
· The child requires specially designed instruction which cannot be provided within the school’s standard instructional program or through the school’s educational support system.
